About the Artist

My Scrapbook

Calling Baton Rouge ... born and raised! My love for art began with doodling on long car rides, where I had some weird obsession with drawing Pizza Huts .. don't ask me why because I couldn't tell you.

Fast forward to high school art class, where I tried oil paint for the first time and chose to paint a literal tube of oil paint.

I moved to attend Southern Mississippi for my undergraduate and graduate degrees. Did the thing and got my Master of Professional Accountancy! Don't ask how the CPA is going, ok?

Throughout college, I found myself saying yes to every opportunity to create. Constantly squeezing in time to do anything from sorority banners and oil pet portraits to watercolor homes, custom ornaments, and meaningful pieces designed for special occasions.

Now finding time to paint is a skill in and of itself, and I am so excited to officially launch Ciara Venable Art ... which is really no different than before ... except now I have a website!

Inspiration for my website came from right there, a birthday dinner talking about life dreams, and Landon suggesting that, although I often discredit it as just a hobby, art could become a serious part of our life.

So thanks for joining me as I work to capture treasured memories! Whether you're just following along or waiting excitedly for a project, we're happy you're here!

About My Art

What began as a passion project has grown into a desire to make art a larger part of my everyday life. Today, I am especially inspired by the stories held within meaningful spaces: the homes where memories are made, the buildings that shape our communities, and the places that hold personal significance.

Through my artwork, I strive to create timeless keepsakes that allow people to revisit those moments and feel the same connection, joy, and nostalgia they felt when they first experienced them. There is something truly special about transforming a beloved place into a piece of art that can be treasured for generations.
